While the rest of the students were off on a field trip….7th, 8th and Pre-Kindergarten students were just sitting around. It was kite-making weather….so the older kids teamed up with the younger ones to make frames, tails, and braces…with the Pre-Ks painting the kite faces. The teams all had to deal with the wind, spilled paint and uncooperative wind once they were ready to start flying the kites. And, of course….one kite ended up stuck in a tree. A good afternoon for all concerned.

Cherisse Beliditto and Peter Brown, two of Lybrook’s 8th graders, were recently honored by having their poetry published in Blended Zine, a nationally recognized magazine for teens by teens.
Cherisse and Peter submitted their work last February...and are now printed authors! Congratulations to both.
Blended Zine is written, edited and published by teens through Farmington Public Library.
